Italian sausage with pepper agrodolce and ricotta, with a bitter leaf and winter citrus salad! It’s a very special edition of balcony cooking, and I think this is my favourite recipe of the series. Italian fennel sausage with peppers and onions is one of my all time fav combos, so the balsamic and brown sugar just makes it even better. Hope you love this one as much as I do 🔥🌶️🍊 Agrodolce * 1 brown onion, thinly sliced * 1 romano pepper, thinly sliced * 2 tsp Calabrian chilli paste * 60ml balsamic vinegar * 1.5 tbsp light brown sugar * 1 blood orange, juice  * Salt and pepper, to taste Salad * Handful white chicory leaves * Radicchio leaves * 1 shallot, thinly sliced * 2 tbsp chives, finely chopped  * 50g toasted hazelnuts, roughly chopped * Blood orange and orange segments  * 1 blood orange, juice  * 100ml olive oil * 1 tbsp wholegrain mustard  * Salt and pepper to taste * Splash maple syrup, if needed To serve * 500g spiral Italian sausage * Ricotta, seasoned * Extra virgin olive oil * Sourdough, sliced
